The Chairman of the Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection of Labor, Minister of Labor Nasri Abu Jaish discussed with a German delegation headed by Deputy Director of International Cooperation at the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation Hannah Elga on Sunday ways to develop and strengthen cooperation and joint work and support the capabilities of the Employment Fund.

Abu Jaish agreed with the German delegation, which included officials from the German Cooperation Foundation (GIZ) to involve the Fund in the plans and programs of the German Cooperation in Palestine.

The participants discussed ways to develop and prepare joint projects between the "Fund" and the German Cooperation Foundation focusing on supporting and increasing the employment of women and marginalized groups, and support the promising sectors.

Abu Jaish stressed that the "Employment Fund" is the national and professional title in Palestine and the national umbrella for development and employment projects. He also praised the role of the German Cooperation in supporting the employment, training and vocational education sector in Palestine, hoping to strengthen and increase this support during the coming period to overcome the great difficulties facing the employment sector in Palestine, which is suffering due to the occupation.

For her part, Elga confirmed her confidence in the tremendous technical capabilities of the Employment Fund, which was recently reinforced by the pilot projects he is implementing in Palestine.

She said that the Fund acquired the trust of many international donor institutions in recent months, and considered that the capabilities and confidence will provide the Fund more attention and support among GIZ and other international institutions.
