The minister of the national economy, Khaled Al-Esseily, Fadi Al-Hidmi of the Jerusalem Affairs, along with Jerusalemite businessmen and traders sought for ways to support and promote the resilience of the economy in Jerusalem.

In a meeting held in the Ministry in Ramallah, both ministers paid attention to the main challenges that face the economy in the occupied city of Jerusalem; which include obstacles that the Israeli Occupation implements on it. Preventing business practice has hindered the work of traders through the closure of shops and traditional crafts.

Al-Esseily assured the governmental support for the economic sectors in Jerusalem, in the real estate and the tourism sectors. He pointed out that one of the main objectives of the first Arab Investment Conference; to be held in Egypt before the end of this year, is to support the implementation of strategic projects in Jerusalem.

Al-Essaily expressed how proud he is of the steadfastness of our people in Jerusalem. He expressed his readiness to work to support any proposals and projects that would contribute to the development of the economy in Jerusalem.

Al-Hidmi thanked the Ministry of National Economy for its efforts to make the Palestinian economy move forward, in general, and the ministry’s keenness to support Jerusalem in particular.
